The Corazon Latino Dance Troupe grew out of PLAC's La Semana culture camp, with the purpose of retaining and enhancing those skills learned and to share this part [Dancers] of the Latin American culture with the community. It is a performance-oriented troupe, a group of people whose ultimate goal is a highly polished performance. Participants love to dance, are willing to take direction and work hard toward that end. The goal is also to provide each child equal opportunity to perform.
The dance troupe is open to boys and girls in grades 3 through 12 whose families are members of PLAC (more info about PLAC).
The Dance Troupe plans to have rehearsals on Sundays (about three per month), beginning in early January and ending in late April. The Dance Troupe performs their dances at the Festival of Nations in early May.
